While I strive to make my tools accessible for everyone, it does take time and effort to create these materials so tips/donations are appreciated!

These are some nice cabinet IRs I captured by request from John at Electronic Audio Experiments. The main goal of this project was to have a good impulse response of a classic 1980s Electro Voice TL802 1x12 "Thiele" cabinet loaded with an EVM-12L driver for guitar purposes.

The following signal chain was used for the cab capture:

- Shure SM57 modded with Crimson Audio "Orange" transformer > Thermionic Culture Earlybird Valve Preamp
- AEA N22 active ribbon mic > CAPI VP26 (1970's API console preamp clone)

The IR .wav files included are one for the Crimson 57, one for the AEA N22, and then one of both mics summed together using the active TR8 Bus Modules on our Tonelux V-Rack console.

In addition to the TL806, I have included a "bonus" IR of a 1982 Marshall JCM800 1960B cab that lives in an iso-cab (previously owned by Godsmack!!) in our basement. This cabinet has Rola Celestion G12-65 speakers and has a Sennheiser e906 clamped to it and sounds really, really good. Rock and roll. The signal chain for this is Sennheiser e906 into a Chandler LTD-1 Neve-style preamp. Kurt Ballou had already dialed in the LTD-1 preamp with this cabinet to his liking so I left it as-is and did a quick capture since I already had the equipment hooked up to do so.

All IRs were captured at 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution. Originally released in May 2022.
