While I strive to make my tools accessible for everyone, it does take time and effort to create these materials so tips/donations are appreciated!
I needed a realistic hallway reverb for a record and wasn't happy with any plug-ins for the specific sound I was looking for. I decided to send the tracks through a speaker at the top of our boomy stairwell and it did the trick. Since a whole rig was set up, I captured sweeps while I was at it.
There are two processed files in here: "Long" and "Short". One was captured with a 1 second sweep and the other using a 3 second sweep.
The following signal chain was used for the IR capture:
- Stereo pair of sE RN17 small diaphragm condenser mics in an ORTF pattern into Vintech 473 (1073 clones) with some minor EQ from a GML 8200.
All IRs were captured at 48 kHz / 24-bit resolution. Originally released in January 2023.
